Like the original version, Hawaii Five-0 dvd season 1 follows an elite state police unit/task force set up to fight crime in the state of Hawaii. It premiered on Monday, September 20, 2010, 42 years to the date from the premiere of the original show, September 20, 1968.Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan are perfect in the show. Its fast paced, funny, has plenty of crash, bang. All of these people have "issues" related to the complexities and problems of modern life: long distance moves, job stress, living away from family members, political problems. It's witty, clever and makes you think about the crime they are trying to solve without becoming a headache. It certainly a show that deserves a look-in. Even if you don't like the characters or the story lines, it's worth watching just to see beautiful Hawaii and the wonderful sun. This is a fantastic cop show!
